Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ;

We are now a few weeks into our Lenten journey to the cross where Jesus gave his life that we might live.

Lent is a season of repentance, forgiveness and renewal. The season of Lent is about getting our personal and spiritual houses in order. In a scriptural sense, house was often used to describe one’s family or community of faith rather than the actual building. An example of this is found in Joshua 24:15, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

This is also what Jesus is talking about in Luke 13:35, “Look, your house is left to you desolate.”

Lent is a time when we can clean up our houses, get things back in order, return to our faith and our God. God has given us a remarkable gift. Salvation. And for all intents and purposes, it’s free. All we have to do is repent, turn from our sinful ways and proclaim that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.

This Lenten season, get on your knees, ask for God’s forgiveness and remember that Jesus died on a cross to pay the price for your sins. And praise God that on Easter Sunday he arose from the dead to give us all eternal life.

Remember that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Praise His holy name.
